The major offering of the agency is the creation, engagement and mining of bespoke, closed online consumer communities; offline work generally takes the form of 1-on-1 interviews or focus groups. Your role will involve moderating on/offline research, managing clients, working within an entrepreneurial team to create business-changing insights, creating beautiful reports and writing like the wind. Current clients include: General Mills, Pepsico, UBS, Delta, Coca-Cola, Reebok, Vans, Gap, Kipling, ABInBev, AXA, etc.

Please be human, creative and energized; resourcefulness, flexibility, individual passions, and confidence mixed with quirkiness are highly valued. Previous qualitative market research, preferably agency-side, required; online community experience is a plus, but not essential. Anywhere between 1-5+ years relevant experience, but this crew is open to meeting anyone smart with qual-based chops. Intelligence and cultural awareness a must.

The Research Director will have various responsibilities including client management and drafting proposals, to workshops and creation of documentaries, reporting, new business pitches, invoicing, strategic initiatives, conducting various modes of research (ethnographies, shop-alongs, in-depth interviews, moderation of focus groups, etc.), development of junior staff, operations/P&L.  An important aspect of this role will also be helping to develop and secure new business either through existing or forged relationships.  Present projects touch on myriad categories such as CPG, spirits, technology, retail, hospitality, lifestyle, etc.  Enjoyment is key; please love what you do.

The ideal candidate has experience with in-house and agency environments that have a heavy production output (product, digital, production, broadcast, post). You have the ability to influence outcomes and hold oneself and others accountable for commitments in a productive, assertive and positive manner. With a minimum of 12+ years’ experience as a creative project management lead, you’re adept with presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and pitching skills and well versed in short-term and long-range planning and execution of a portfolio of projects. You have experience working closely with finance, creative and marketing services and are comfortable utilizing technology platforms, ie. SmartSheet. Please have experience in recruiting, hiring, managing, developing, and motivating. PMP with knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and/or MBA a plus.
