Named a “Top Entrepreneur” by Crain’s magazine, this boutique independent media agency is seeking a smart, motivated Paid Media Manager to assist in creating long-lasting consumer connections. This person will focus on engaging audiences across all paid media channels, from social to search and display. And you better like hats, because you’ll be wearing plenty – client-facing, building out media strategies, ad trafficking, financials, optimization, etc. Clients range from for-profit, non-profit, start-up, and arts and culture. What you’ll DO:

  • Develop strategic framework for paid social and SEM campaigns across major paid platforms including Search engines (Google, Bing), Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • Execute on paid search, paid social, and digital display and optimize for client objectives, including but not limited CPA, ROAS, acquisition, awareness and engagement
  • Help clients and team members understand the role of various paid media channels in achieving their objectives
  • Leverage media channels such as paid search, paid social, display, video ads, and mobile advertising tactics to drive client success
  • Manage the entire cycle including initial planning, creative briefing, implementation, monitoring, optimization, ad operations, analysis and reporting
  • Oversee and manage daily campaigns: monitoring delivery, tracking optimization, escalating issues, managing consultants/vendors as needed
  • Generate reports and dashboards, and recognize and troubleshoot data anomalies
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and provide relevant insights
  • Budget development, forecasting and allocation to compliment client objectives

What we need from YOU:

  • 4+ years of paid media buying experience, agency or publisher side
  • Experience with optimization of paid media campaigns to hit client goals
  • Extensive knowledge of paid search platforms and optimization tactics on Google AdWords
  • Extensive knowledge of paid social platforms and optimization tactics on key social platforms such as Facebook Business Manager
  • Experience with key DSPs (TTD, DV360)
  • Familiarity with Amazon Search/advertising
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics and Data Studio
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, etc. are a plus
  • Excellent at creating reports, data visualization, developing presentations and recommendations
  • Data and detail-oriented with a strategic mindset
  • Working knowledge of ad operations — tagging, tracking, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of social publishing tools and web analytics

Here’s the scope of the role:

  • Ability to problem solve, such as finding solutions for issues not yet attempted; ability to consult/educate/negotiate with clients and agency partners
  • Proactively share learnings, trends, technologies, and best practices; establish as an expert within your functional department and client team
  • Ability to present recommendations/ideas to client and internal team; effectively merchandise successes to the client

Please have strong knowledge of: Paid search and social optimizations; Forecasting and opportunity/gap analysis; Campaign management tools, including bid rules/management; CPA and all ROI media; Monitoring new search trends/products and evaluating application to client; Research tools/competitive analysis; Budget/pacing and billing.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of work experience (1+ years managing programs focused on delivering and optimizing paid media campaigns) with solid understanding of paid search and social campaign management and optimization practices, as well as knowledge of video, search retargeting, and other online advertising opportunities. You’re a proactive self-starter and team player comfortable in a fast-paced, results-based company.

Assist with advertising operations (particularly digital): coordinate with external vendors, provide QA/functional review of digital creative assets, traffic ads. Exposure to digital and social campaign set up/tracking a plus.

Manage advertising and production projects from inception to completion: create and maintain schedules and deadlines, keep projects on track across cross-functional teams, create estimates, manage budgets.

Support client accounts: summarize meetings/calls, communicate project action items and updates, keep media plans updated, proactively collect and manage all client project details, update media decks. Excel and PowerPoint skills a must.

Conduct media, consumer, market, and brand research; coordinate and administer new business development system and operations. Contribute to daily office management: calendar management, phones, etc.
